COZY BUNS BEDDING SYSTEM by Holy Lamb Organics (for Crib, Cradle & Bassinet)

Mattress: The best thing you can do to make sure your baby is sleeping in a safe environment. Our bassinet mattress is tightly hand tufted every 4". Crib mattresses coming this summer. Made with organic cotton fabric and pure eco grown wool.

Topper: The next best thing you can do is to make sure your baby is sleeping on a natural surface. Great on top of a synthetic mattress or to add extra comfort to any hard mattress. Made with organic cotton fabric and pure eco grown wool.

Moisture Barrier: Thick felted wool is the perfect natural material to absorb any leaks that may occur during the night. This will protect your mattress and help keep your baby dry. Place underneath the sheet.

Sheet: Soft organic fabrics with cotton elastic to secure to the mattress.

Comforter: Hand quilted with soft flannel fabric and filled with a lightweight eco wool.

Bumper: Place around perimeter of the crib or cradle/bassinet to protect the baby's head. Different styles including a cost effective "all in one" washable bumper with ties.

FAQ's on How To Care For Your Natural Wool Bedding

Can HLO wool bedding be machine washed? Yes, (unless otherwise noted on an item) all of our wool bedding can be machine washed using specific parts of your machine's washing cycle. We provide detailed washing instructions with your product. You will need a machine that allows you to change the settings once it has already begun. Many of the new front loader machines will not work because they do not let you manipulate the cycle once it has begun. If you only have a front loader, your best bet is to find a good friend and use theirs. If you do not follow the instructions correctly, your bedding will turn into felt!

My cat peed on my bedding. What do I do? It is best to first hand wash the specific areas where the pee is immediately. It is important to wash out this concentrated pee before attempting to wash the entire comforter. Next, follow the instructions provided with you product. In the soaking stage, add a bottle of natural enzyme inhibitors to the water and let your bedding soak for a good while. These enzyme products are available at your local health food store or natural pet store. Continue with the instructions provided.

Does HLO carry other types of such as cotton or down? No. While there are many types of "natural" materials used in natural bedding, we find wool to be the best. It ranks far above all other products (including cotton and down bedding) in it's ability to resist dust mites. Even products that are labeled "hypoallergenic" (including down products that have undergone massive wash techniques to get rid of the dust and even synthetic hypo products) will not be able to be dust mite free for long. Once you take it home, it will naturally attract dust mites.

Our company uses wool that comes from our local Pacific Northwest bio-region. Another factor that makes wool the best is proces in which wool is taken from the animal. Down bedding comes from the meat industy. The bird is used for it's meat while the feathers are plucked for bedding. Sheep however, are not harmed in the process of shearing and they grow a coat of fleece annually.

Lastly, we find wool to be superior in it's cozy quality and it's ability to regulate your body temperature. There is just something about wool that has people fall in love with it.
